Discover Your Potential with Halo Rogers

Halo Rogers is a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience in the Northside Independent School District (NISD) in San Antonio, Texas. She began her career as a Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) teacher, spending seven years creating engaging and differentiated learning experiences that integrated technology to enhance student engagement. Halo then transitioned to the role of Gifted and Talented Specialist, where she taught Advanced GT Middle School ELA and designed innovative lessons to meet the unique needs of her gifted students.

Currently in her third year as a Middle School ELA Curriculum & Instruction Instructional Support Teacher, Halo leads curriculum writing teams focused on Advanced Middle School ELA and Magnet classes. She also facilitates district-wide professional development and mentors teachers in integrating AI and technology into their lessons. With a master's degree in curriculum & instruction, Halo has consistently developed rigorous, standards-aligned curricula that address the diverse needs of all learners.

Driven by the significant changes in education post-COVID and the rapidly evolving needs of both teachers and students, Halo Rogers launched The AI Classroom: ELA Reimagined Blog. Recognizing that traditional teaching methods need to adapt to the current educational landscape, Halo created this blog to explore how AI can be effectively harnessed to meet students' diverse learning needs and to support teachers in their planning processes. The goal is not only to enhance student outcomes but also to empower educators to plan more efficiently, thereby fostering a healthier work-life balance.
